A Love Letter

Valentine's Day has never really been a big deal to me. I don't know why, but the sentimentality is usually lost on me. I don't need chocolates or roses or jewelry. I would most like a hand-written note. A note from my husband, Danny, no matter how short, is treasured by me. I keep them in a box next to my bed, and pull them out a few times a year to read and fill myself up with words of love.

I wanted to write him a love letter, but I think the best I can do is choose some of my favorite pictures that show my love and commitment to him.

This is March 8, 2003, our wedding day. A beautiful, wonderful, perfect day.

Danny is having an up close and personal look at our first born, E. This must be in the early spring of 2005.

Danny is holding our newborn Cubby, on her birthday back in 2006. What a proud, although haggard-looking pappa! She was born at 2:00 AM, so this was a long day!

Here he is getting some cuddle time with Cubby at home.

He loves playing with the kids, especially one on one, where he can teach them something. Here he is showing Cubby how to use a play phone. Or is she showing him?

I love this picture. I don't know why. He is being himself, which I think most people rarely see. Not that he is evil, by any means, but that he is silly and ready for a laugh.

Here's Danny with his girls. He's on his way back to work, and the girls are saying goodbye. They still want to spend almost every moment with him when he's home.

My handsome Danny and an excited little Cubby at the Disney parade in Disneyland.

And Danny got his boy. Little J.D. can't get enough of his daddy. Here he is straining to lift his head when only a few months old, to get a closer look at his dad.

This picture is one of my absolute favorites. Danny was a bachelor only five short years before this photo, and now here he is with his arms full of babies, and two more little ones scampering around his feet. I just love the happiness and fulfillment in his eyes. He loves the desert and wants his children to enjoy it too. He is in his element and it shows.
I love you, Danny.

Danny looks like a man with a full heart. Ps. 127:3-5.
Great pictures!
