Fashion Show

First of all, I love my sister dearly, she is an absolute blast, and to my financial demise, the best shopper in town. My sister is an expert Gymboree shopper. She gathers up her Gymbucks and coupons like Ebenezer Scrooge with his gold coins and waits until the stars align just perfectly so that all the deals happen on one magnificent day. So that day was today. I am normally a pretty logical, practical shopper, but when Gymboree announces their first day of redeeming Gymbucks, the sparkles sparkle brighter, the colors dazzle bolder, and the price gets higher.

So, here's the loot. I picked up a cute 3 year old to go along with the goods. It's a packaged deal.
Cubby can barely contain herself when there are bags full of ANYTHING in the house. Groceries, clothes, prescriptions, sprinkler parts, anything in a bag is fair game for Cubby to completely unload once it has landed anywhere inside our house. She's an expert unpacker. Ask anyone. So it was especially difficult for her to wait that 15 minutes for E to come home from school so that we could go through the goods together. That's the fun part. As you can see from the picture above, Cubby is not having any fun. She did not leave that spot until E finally joined us.

The fashion show always starts out on a high note. Both girls are thrilled. Of course, it's all about the accessories and the poses.

They're getting a little silly at this point. The outfits matter less and less, and the crazy poses matter more and more. As you can see, Cubby is starting to lose interest.

Cubby has clearly lost all interest in the fashion show. The truth is, she's mad because she wanted to wear the flower headband, and E grabbed it before she did, and that was not cool. Not cool at all. She's barely holding it together right here.
After the rigorous show, E was famished. So she grabbed her completely full lunchbox and ate her "leftovers."

She says she doesn't have time to eat lunch at school. The funny thing is, her chocolate milk and Hershey's kisses were missing.....strange.
