A "Bibbidi-Bobbidi" Makeover

On our last trip to Disneyland, I couldn't help but notice that the park had a few more Disney Princesses walking around than normal.  In fact, everywhere we went, we saw Ariels, Jasmines, Cinderellas, and of course, thanks to the newest Disney Princess, dozens of Rapunzels.  But these princesses were much smaller than normal.  And their hair was pretty crazy, I have to admit.

I put Aunt Ayron on the case, who quickly figured out that the Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boutique located inside Sleeping Beauty's castle offers Princess Makeovers.  And that was just the beginning.

We made reservations for this most recent trip to Disneyland to get the girls a makeover.  We were celebrating Cubby's 5th birthday, so it was on her wish list.  Ok, here come the pictures.  I'll start with my oldest daughter, Emma's before picture, then take you through the transformation.

Here's Emma with her "Fairy Godmother In Training" who asked Emma to choose her desired hairstyle.

The Big Before Picture.  Yep, that's a regular little 6 year-old sweetheart if I ever saw one!

And the combing and smoothing began.

Until a tight, high ponytail was achieved.

She's lookin' a little bit too much like a big girl here for my liking!

Watch out for the hairspray!

And now for the nail color.....pink, of course!

A swipe of pink blush, a sparkling rock of a ring, and some hair extensions....

and along with a little magic sparkle dust sprinkled all over the top....and a princess emerged!

Now on to Cubby.
Here she is picking out her hair-do.

The official "before" picture.

What in the world?

Oh, ok, that was just bun preparation.

And now the blond extensions are added.

And then, unfortunately, the Fairy Godmother commenced to ratting the you-know-what out of the top of her little hair-piece.

Pink nails were a necessity.

Oh my.  But this is only part-way done!

First the fairy dust is sprinkled.

Then the make-up is applied.

And the smiles didn't stop.

They even added a little "bling" to her cheek!  Once the sash was added, it was time to look in the mirror.

The big reveal was a wonderful moment.  They both literally gasped and covered their mouths with their hands in awe of their glamorous new look.  It was priceless.

Then throughout the day people would stop and comment on the beautiful princesses as they walked passed.  The girls acted like royalty.  They would give a polite smile, or even a quick wave.   They had things to do and rides to ride.

Oh, and they had cotton candy to eat.  Very important, pressing business, you see.

And then it was all over, just like in Cinderella's fairytale.  I won't even try to describe the next morning when I attempted to brush out that hair, despite the shampoo and gobs of conditioner.  Ahh..... the life of a pampered princess!
